The Covenant is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Dar Salim, Alexander Ludwig, Antony Starr, Jason Wong, Bobby Schofield, Sean Sagar, Emil Djuse, and Simon Lennon. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Chuck Logan and tells the story of a US Army sergeant who is rescued by a local interpreter during the War in Afghanistan and must return to the country years later to find him after he is captured by the Taliban.
