Leicester City Aim for Second Championship Title
The Championship fixtures for the 2023/24 season have been released, with the campaign set to kick off on August 4, 2023. The opening match will see Sheffield Wednesday host Southampton at Hillsborough Stadium, with the match scheduled to start at 8pm and be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Leicester City, who won the Championship title in 2013/14, will be looking to secure their second title in the second tier. The Foxes have been placed in the same division as Southampton, and the two sides will face each other at the King Power Stadium on August 26, 2023.
Other notable fixtures in the opening round include: Watford vs Burnley, Norwich City vs Huddersfield Town, and Reading vs Blackpool. The full fixture list is available on the EFL website.
